I’ve spent the last few weeks catching up with the ladies from The Facts of Life thanks to hulu. Did you see the episode featuring a young George Clooney??

Russell Brand on Conan

cajunboy:

Last night I mentioned that British actor/comedian Russell Brand’s turn as a guest on the Conan show was ridiculously funny…well, I finally found video of it and posted it here. Dude should get an Emmy nod for Funniest Guest, if is was such a thing, but I don’t think there is.

Loved him in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and he just keeps giving it. God, so quick, so talented. Thanks!

Jon Stewart comments on the recent brouhaha surrounding the controversial New Yorker cover depicting Obama as a militant Muslim extremist. Ridiculous that one of the most consistent voices of sanity in the media comes from a spoof show.

On a sidenote, Al Qaeda taking outrage to a patriotic depiction of Osama is quite giggle-worthy.

Obama Flair!
Rick Landers, from the design firm Landers Miller, says, “I’m not entirely sure that one pin would make up for Mr. Obama’s perceived lack of patriotism. In fact, one lapel pin seems like it would be the bare minimum in this case.
“All of this hoopla and attention to his choosing not to wear an American flag lapel pin reminds me of the movie ‘Office Space’ in which Jennifer Aniston plays an employee working at a T.G.I. Friday’s-style chain establishment. Throughout the movie she is chastised by her boss for not wearing enough ‘flair’ to ‘express herself.’”

QUOTE
“In 1981 Barack Obama was 20 years old, a Columbia University student in search of the meaning of life. He was torn a million different ways: between youth and maturity, black and white, coasts and continents, wonder and tragedy.“

This may sound cynical, and you’re right; you can only trust yourself.
