It’s over 1,000 pages long (In 2 volumes) and focuses on the lives of a man and woman who are searching for each other from ages 10 to 30. Unfortunately, an English version might take as many as 2 years to reach bookshelves. :( The novel sold out across Japan (literally, all copies of the book were sold) on the first day of release. The novel has been described as a “complex and surreal narrative.” There have been mentions of Murakami being selected as the Nobel Prize winner for Literature for this book (Not that it hasn’t been mentioned before). As for me, I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for it to be translated and delivered to the states.
